To introduce Bangabandhu to the children of the rural areas of Bangladesh, “#TeamSufiFaruq” have initiated a campaign titled “Read Mujib” in various educational institutions in Kushtia. This campaign have gained huge popularity through the social media. Now the same campaigns is being replicated in many other parts of the country.
Read Mujib campaign is an introductory event, based on the book “unfinished autobiography” to enlighten the children about Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, that has been comprised as a graphic novel. Radwan Mujib Siddiqui, grandson of Shekh Mujibur Rahman published the novel on his 95th birthday from Centre for Research and Information (CRI) last year. This book has 24 pages and titled as Mujib. This can be considered as the first character based graphic novel of the country.
The children first see the story in projector or hear a story telling. Later they participate in a quiz. The winners get the books as reward.
The events are very lively and interactive as the teachers are extremely supportive and the students inspire us every moment. Team Sufi Faruq encourages the event and provide the books as rewards.
