Sufi Faruk’s initiative to develop Kumarkhali-Khoksa’s female financially self-reliant has been started at the Meghagram of Shilaidaha union, the activities of the Sheikh Hasina Community Sewing Center.
Under the Career Counseling Conference of Sufi Farooq, at the end of a long 3-month tailoring training, among the poor mothers and sisters who are unable to buy their machines, ‘Sheikh Hasina Community Sewing Center’ is made for them. By fixing a specific place, the Sewing Machine was established by Sufi Farooq as per the requirement. The condition is that the machines will use all the matching. Nobody can take the machine to his house. After working to save the amount of capital, they will buy their own sewing machine.
In the meantime, working from different sewing centers, earning money, making their own capital, buying self sewing machines, many have become self-reliant.
On September 18, the activities of the Sheikh Hasina Community Sewing Center were started at Mazgram under Shilaidaha union of Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia district. The project coordinator Ashrafunnahar Shilpi, Upazila Awami League’s Publicity and Publication Secretary Subhash Datta, former student leader of Kumarakali Gurukul, Shilaidaha Women’s College lecturer Abdus Salam attended the ceremony.
